A choppy Thursday on a five-pick slate, two winners, one full push, one half-loss, and one full loss settling for a net of minus 0.55u on 5u staked. The shape of the day is exactly what the bridge construction was designed to produce: the two draws delivered very different settlements because the underlying AH lines treated the draw outcome differently, and the half-loss came in at exactly the structural minimum thanks to the AH plus 1.0 push leg salvaging the plus 0.75 line on a one-goal defeat.
The Berkane double on Morocco’s Botola Pro is the operative example of the day. The first Berkane pick was RSB Berkane home plus 0.75 against FAR Rabat, taken at the bet365 retail quarter line of 1.38. The match closed 2-2. On a draw the DC X1 half wins outright and the AH plus 1.0 half also wins (Berkane plus 1.0 puts the adjusted scoreline at 3-2 in their favour). Both halves bank in full. The second Berkane pick, also on the same fixture, was the AH 0.00 SPICY DNB line at the bet365 retail price of 2.20. On a draw the DNB market simply refunds, no win but no damage either. The two-pick Berkane allocation across MATCH_CAP=2 turned a draw into plus 0.38u net rather than minus 1.62u or worse.
Strindheim against Melhus in Norway’s 3.Division Group 2 settled the cleanest payout of the slate. Pick was AH home 0.00 SPICY (the DNB direct line on the home favourite, gs_diff_4+ filter). The home side delivered a 2-1 result outright, settling the Betway FS retail DNB take at 1.57 for plus 0.570u net. The take landed shorter than the model expected but the cell’s SR statistics remained valid.
The half-loss came from UTS Rabat hosting Difaâ El Jadida in Botola Pro’s middle-tier fixture. Pick was AH home plus 0.75 on UTS Rabat at the 7BetUK FS retail price of 1.70 — the highest take across the slate. Match settled 1-2 against UTS, a one-goal defeat. On the plus 0.75 split the DC X1 leg loses outright (UTS did not win and did not draw), but the AH plus 1.0 half puts the adjusted scoreline at 2-2 — a push, so half-stake refunded. Net minus 0.5u rather than minus 1.0u. This is the exact failure mode the bridge construction is supposed to mitigate on one-goal losses, and it worked as designed.
The slate’s only full loss came from Al Kuwait at home against Kazma SC. The AH home minus 0.50 line resolves directly to the Match Winner outright line on the home team. The match closed 0-0. With AH minus 0.5 needing Al Kuwait to win outright by any margin, the goalless draw collapsed the unit to minus 1.000u. Kuwait Premier League draws under the huge_favdog_gap filter are rare across the cell sample but this is one of the variance days the cell’s long-run distribution accounts for.
