The three quarter lines all lost outright and that is where the day went. Aldosivi were beaten 3-1, Vänersborgs 1-0 and Garliava 2-0. A plus 0.25 gives you protection on a draw and nothing else; none of the three drew, so none of the three got any. Three full units.

Worth recording that all three had come in shorter than our own number before kick-off — the sort of move that says money has arrived on the other side. I flagged one of them at the time as sitting in the range where a drop rule would take it out, and noted that the rule is untested and I was not going to trim on it. I still would not, on three bets. But it goes in the record, because the only way that ever becomes a rule worth having is if it is written down before it is convenient.

The whole lines were the other story. Auda beat Tukums 3-0 and Haka beat SJK Akatemia 2-0, both giving a goal, and neither was near the handicap by the end. Al Qadsiah lost outright to Al-Ittihad rather than failing to cover.

Haka is worth a paragraph on price. No bookmaker priced the handicap at all — fifteen of them quoted the match odds and not one went to the Asian line — so the exchange was the only route, at 1.51 with over seven hundred pounds across three rungs. It won. When a market has one way in and that way has real depth behind it, that is a better position than five shops all showing the same number.

Mold Alexandra won 1-0 in the thinnest market on the card. Four bookmakers quoted it and the best was 1.33. A Draw No Bet on a one-nil is a straightforward win.

Where that leaves the fortnight. Fifty-two positions settled since the ninth: thirty won, six pushed, sixteen lost, one void, and the bank up 2.27 units. That is a strike rate around sixty-five per cent and a return of roughly four per cent on turnover.

It has been two distinct halves. The first four days lost three and a quarter units; the last five made five and a half. Nothing in the method changed between them and I would not read anything into either stretch on its own. Fifty-two bets is still a small number, and the honest position remains that a few hundred settle it and nothing less does.
